Hello all! This is my first web log on my new website. After much deliberation (about 3 hrs.) I have decided to make a move from RE/MAX, one of the largest real estate companies in the world . . . to one of the smallest real estate companies in the Pacific Northwest, GreenWorks Realty. RE/MAX is a very good company, however, a hardened real estate market has made it difficult to continue with the financial demands of belonging to a large real estate company. So, when life gives you lemons . . . suck on it, savor the sour-ness and move on! The harsh real estate market is beginning a Darwin-ish, kind of natural selection process. You know the kind, a sort of a survival of the fittest for realtors, which is needed every once in a while to weed out the really bad ones. Still there are a ton of really great real estate agents out there, many whom I have had the occasion to work and associate with.
To be successful in this industry and really stand out from the rest of the pack, especially amongst experienced and established agents, you need to be unique. Which is why I have decided to move in a greener direction. I have joined the GreenWorks Realty team in Seattle. Ben Kaufmann, broker and owner of the company, is a well respected authority in green and sustainable living in the Puget Sound region. I am pleased that they have found me to be a worthy addition to their team. With our new government making large investments in research for clean and renewable energy, you will definitely see a spike in the demand for green building practices and green technology. Which is why I am re-inventing my real estate career and helping those seeking to live a greener lifestyle in the Puget Sound.
Growing up on a small island in Hawaii called Molokai, I grew up living off the land and the ocean for sustenance and was always taught to appreciate and care for the land and the ocean which gave freely to us. You gathered what you needed for you family and never took more than that. Caring for our natural resources ensures that future generations will enjoy the same benefits. Translating this philosophy to the Pacific Northwest, we have a responsibility to care for our natural resources, so future generations can enjoy the same quality of life that we do. So if you are looking to live more energy efficient, and or upgrade your current home to a greener standard, it would be my pleasure to serve you. Go see my new website and tell me what you think.
Hey Rylen, I'm glad you're still hanging in there! Best of luck to you.
